Palindrome maintains a team of applied researchers with multiple areas of expertise, including infrastructure, emerging technologies, and new products. Our applied research activities focus on our client’s challenges in the security, reliability, performance, and scalability domains.

Our team actively participates in the evolution of new technology standards, serving in various roles in standards bodies including the IEEE, IETF, and NIST. Palindrome Technologies’ experts have chaired the IEEE Study Group on “Security, Reliability, and Performance for the Software Defined and Virtualized Ecosystems,” which resulted in three new IEEE Standards Working Groups on SDN Security, Performance, and Reliability.

Our specific areas of focus evolve, based on the needs of the industries, markets, and clients that we serve. However, they are built on a solid foundation of knowledge and experience in cybersecurity. Our current areas of focus are shown below.

We would happily discuss adding your focus area to our current research slate!

Cutting-Edge Solution Development and Innovation
  • Applied research yields innovation in new tools, techniques, and technologies designed to counteract evolving cyber threats, enabling the creation of advanced defense mechanisms, such as machine learning-based detection systems, encryption algorithms, and secure communication protocols, These innovations allow Palindrome clients to stay ahead of the rapidly changing threat landscape:
Enhanced Threat Understanding and Response
  • Focused studies on specific cybersecurity challenges enhance our understanding of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack methodologies that are crucial for developing effective defense strategies and response mechanisms.
Risk Reduction and Prevention
  • By identifying vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors, our research team can help proactively secure your systems and infrastructure, reducing the risk of cyber incidents, minimizing potential financial and reputational damage, and ensuring the continuity of business operations.
Improved Policy and Regulatory Development
  • Insights inform policymakers and regulatory bodies, helping them develop more effective laws, standards, and guidelines to protect against cyber threats. Research-based policy development ensures that regulations keep pace with technological advances and the evolving cyber threat landscape, providing a solid foundation for national and international cybersecurity efforts.
Team Depth, Experience, and Knowledge
  • Our team actively participates in the evolution of new technology standards, serving in a variety of roles in standards bodies including the IEEE, IETF, ACM, ISSA, ICCWS and NIST. Palindrome Technologies’ experts have chaired the IEEE Study Group on “Security, Reliability, and Performance for the Software Defined and Virtualized Ecosystems” resulting in three new IEEE Standards Working Groups on SDN Security, Performance, and Reliability. Palindrome researchers also chair the IEEE Communications Quality and Reliability (CQR) group.
Project Exposure
  • Palindrome experts have provided applied research to major organizations such as the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and Department of Homeland Security- Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (DHS-CISA)
